Extremely RARE OEM 1938 - 1946 American LaFrance 500 600 Fire Truck Bullet Headlights

Nice restorable shape, the amber lens are not the correct ones, they appear to be PVC of some sort.

American LaFrance 500 Series (1938-1941) / 600 Series (1941-1946) fender-mounted bullet headlight & parking lamp assemblies

The 500 Series was announced in June 1938 as an ultra-streamlined art deco design where the envelope body concealed everything — even the bell was tucked behind the grille. The bullet headlights on fender pods with integrated parking lights were part of that styling program.

The 600 Series replaced the 500 in mid-1941 and was visually identical apart from grille details — so the light assemblies are the same across both series, roughly 1938-1946. The junior B-500/Type 500 and Type 600 variants shared the family styling as well.

These trucks were completely fabricated by American LaFrance, including chassis, body, engine, pump and most accessories. That means these housings are ALF-built or ALF-exclusive rather than a common Guide/vendor part.

The GE 7" sealed beams are consistent with 1940-onward production (or a period-correct update to a 1938-39 truck).
